Have Factor 5, Taken Birth Control Pills. Any Risks To Take Replacement Testosterone?
Ok I have factor 5, didn't know I even had this until after I had given birth to 2 healthy babies with no complications, I have had several major surgeries no problems...I also have taken birth control pills from the the age of 16- 28 I have no Testosterone levels I want to know if there are any risks to taking the replacement testosterone?
Hi and thank you for your question. Women with Factor V Leiden may have an increased tendency to develop blood clots during pregnancy or when taking the hormone estrogen, especially when they have both genes for Factor V mutated. Why should you take replacement Testosterone?!
