Have Family History Of Thalassemia. Chances Of Baby Contracting It Genetically?

Ahmed and Laila are first cousins newly married apparently normal couple. Came to the genetic counseling clinic seeking advice because they have a positive family history of thalassemia , their hemoglobin electrophoresis unfortunately revealed abnormal HPF. What is the chance of having a baby with thalassemia per each pregnancy.

Hello,
If both parents have thalassemia trait
they have 25% chance of normal baby
50% chance of thalassemia trait like parents
and 25% chance of thalassema major(affected baby).
They have to go for genetic councilling but this is determined by religeous beliefs
