Have Feeling Of Something Struck In Throat, Pressure Below Adams Apple. Took Priolosec For Antibiotics. Give Me Suggestion
I have had a feeling of something stuck in my throat for a few weeks. I went to the doctor and he prescribed Priolosec and treated me for acid reflux. I have been taking it twice a day for a week. No relief. It also feels like a pressure right below my adam's apple. I called him today and he said it could be h. pylori and would call in a prescription for antibiotics. I looked up h. pylori and it doesn't list throat problems as a symptom. I am concerned that I should go for a second opinion with an ENT. Any thoughts. I am uncomfortable and frustrated and don't feel like this is acid reflux. It came on too suddenly.
Hi, Acid reflux can lead to such symptoms and an H pylori is also associated with reflux and can also present with such symptoms. The other common reasons can be anaemia and globus sensation. H pylori can be detected with breath test and the antibiotic treatment for that can be started after that. Otherwise, if your symptoms are not improving, please consult an ENT and you may require an endoscopic examination. Mean while taking syp. Mucain gel and hexidine gargles can be of help. Regards
