Have Fibro, Spinal Injury, Undergoing Radio Frequency Treatment. No Painkillers For Pain. How To Get Relief?

Hi, I'm a 64 yr.old female with fibro and a spinal injury. Have been undergoing radio frequency treatment, but the last one didn't take. My pain dr. won't give me pain pills or the patch. My quality of life is quite compromised... I am housebound because of pain. I do go to pt,,but they can only do muscle release because of my pain. I don't know what to do as I live in the mountains of NC and their are no other pain clinics around here. What do you suggest I do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Your physician is not prescribing you the pain killers as these might increase the chances of spontaneous bleeding. You can do a hot fomentation, take a hot shower and rest to have relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
