Have Follicular Thyroid Nodule. What Does Thyroglobulin Level Mean In Thyroid Blood Test?
I have a supposed benign follicular thyroid nodule that measures 33x22x22mm. this is confirmed by afirma gene classifier test. However my thyroid blood work show as follows: Thyroglobulin 3000 ng/ml THyroid peroxidase ab Thyroglobulin ab I am concerned about the meaning of the thyroglobulin level with the normal range is 2.0 - 35 ng/ml I am at over 3000. What does this mean?
Dear User, Hi! Thyroglobulin levels being high is a non specific test. it can go high in inflammation , infection, or even in iodine deficiency. but still you need to keep a follow up as it is also a marker of malignancy. Regards!
