Have Had Angioplasty Procedure. Why Is Right Shoulder Blade In Pain? Normal?
I have had 2 angioplasty procedures in the last 2 weeks, one was the balloon as they could not get the stents in, the 2nd one was successful with the stents, I m experiencing pain in the right shoulder blade and it radiates across the back, it feels like angina but all heart tests show okay, these procedures were very lengthy, 3 hours, and 2and a half for 2nd one...I was told it was a difficult case, I want to be mobile but the pain is keeping me bedridden...is this normal?
Hello and welcome to HCM
Heart pain is associated with shortness of breath, increased heart rate, sweating and Ghabharat. As you have undergone angioplasty and all heart test normal, this pain surely be not related to heart.
During the procedure you have to keep your arm behind head so the pain can be due to that, also needs to rule out Cervical Spondylosis.
You are bedridden why? Move with you legs and feel fresh. Use analgesic drugs and gel and hot fermentation to reduce pain. Consult your doctor for other causes of pain and related treatment.
Best Wishes
