Have Had Stinging, Throbbing, Burning Pain In Labia. On Canestan, Anti-fungal. Why Does Pain Increase?

Hi. I have had a stinging/throbbing/burning pain on one side of my labia for almost 6 months. It almost feels like someone poured acid on it. I've been treated for yeast infection by 4 different doctor on 4 occassions. Finally they swabbed me after I've had enough of taking pills , putting creams and inserting pessaries. All tests were negative including yeast but the burning pain is still there. I've felt it everyday for the past 6 months even whilst receiving yeast treatment. Canesten and other anti fungals are hurting me & make me feel very uncomfortable. Sometimes I also feel pain in the opening of my vagina. Discharge is transparent & not smelly. Pain increases during the day but I'm fine at night. There is no itching. What can it be?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the vulva that you have is not likely to be related to the fungal infection. It is most likely to be due to associated vulvodynia. You can consult a gynecologist for proper treatment.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
