Hi, yes the symptoms of heaviness in the head, heavy eyelids what you say fit exactly to the symptoms of sinusitis. Sinusitis can be due to many causes like allergies, infection, polyp etc,, Your doctor will sort out the correct cause of sinusitis and treat you accordingly. The treatment course anti allergics has to be taken for 2 to 3 months and later investigated with help of x RAY OT CT scan or MRI to know if it is reduced. Acute sinusitis can be cured in 4 to 6 weeks, while chronic sinusitis goes a long run. Antibiotic course is needed if infection of sinus is suspected. Along with medications steam inhalation helps a lot in the reduction of symptoms. Surgery is needed in cases of mechanical obstruction like polyp.
Hope this might help you.
