Hello ma'am and welcome.

As for your questions, this is the right time to check for pregnancy. But may be you are doing it wrong, make sure you use an early morning urine sample, and repeat the test only after another 3-5 days.

You can report to your doctor if you do not see your period within 30 days from your last period.

Also, is this the first time you have experienced an irregular period or have you experienced the same previously? If so, then please wait for a while longer.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
