Have Hole In Left Ear Drum . Had Been Given Gentamycin Injections. Is There Any Suture-less Laser Surgery?

i have a hole in my left ear drum since 20 years nw.
some 18 years back a doctor in hydrabad india gave me GENTAMYCIN injections about 10 to cure it.
i was asked not to let water enter my ear. My ear was ok till i followed the no water in ear care but sometimes when water went in my left ear it would have pus .
Now last year after 20 years of hole in ear when i went to my ent he suggested tympanoplasty for repairing the
hole.
I want to know if there is a sutureless laser ent surgery available in india for closing the ear drum hole or i have to go
thro the surgery with sutures ?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
this is a common misconception that ear drum perforations can be treated by Laser surgery,
there is no laser surgery for them.
Laser surgery is useful for surgery in which there is bone fixation which are present in ears.
Normal surgery is good enough you can get it done.
