Have Interstitial Cystitis, Severe Chronic Pain. Developed Hema Anemia. Any Non Sulfa Based Medicine?
I have interstitial cystitis are there any more meds for it other than the elmiron and the phosphasal i am in terrible chronic pain i have been on methadone for yrs my pain doctor changed me to morphine sulfate and it does not help me i had the coctails for it and i developed hema anemia so i can not take any sulfa base med please talk to me my name is alicia

There are few guidelines for pain management. Step wise approach is better. Antihistamines helps in controlling mast cell activity and antidepressants reduce neurogenic inflammation and there by pain. Bladder instllation procedures are available to reduce pain. Neuromodulation of pain carrying nerve from bladder. Consult your doctor for further examination and discuss different management options. Hope I answered your question.
