Have Irregular Periods. Diagnosed With Pcos. On Meprate, Regstrone. Normal With Medicines. Is This The Cause For Concern?

I have irregular periods from the day I got matured and I am 29 now and I am un married, I have been diagnised with pcos and have used severely medications including meprate, regstrone and kris on 35 mg hormone tab for a period of 3-5 months and from past 8 years. When I used the tab I used to get regular periods for 3-4 months even after stopping the tabs, but again after those 3-4 months it's same situation periods were delayed and may not been there even for 90 days, then again I have to go back to medication. This is persistent prob with me. And even this time it's the same case, I have stopped my medication as per doctors advice 6 months back and after that I got my regular periods only for 3 months. Now from past 3 months I Have not got my periods though there are symptoms of periods. How I should I deal with this persistent recurring problem to get permanent cure and regular cycles.

Hi and thanks for the query,
These drugs should not be any cause for concern. However, you need to be very watchful concerning the side effects of the drugs. It will not be very unusual to have a distorted period from the start. Either very light bleeding or severe bleeding, and you could go for a month or so without an period. Any exaggeration of any of these symptoms however should prompt a medical consultation. Just be calm but watchful. Kind regards
