Have Itchiness And Cottage Cheese Like Discharge. Had BV Earlier. What Is It?

How do I tell if its a yeast infection of BV? I had BV a few weeks ago and my Dr. gave me meds for a week and it went away but now something has come again. It is very itchy, and the discharge is cottage cheese like, but no fishy smell. A smell yes, but actually kind of....sweet? I don't know...I'm not sexually active nor have ever been and I am on birth control, prescription antacid, and an antidepressant.

Hi,

By the symptoms you described it seems like you have vaginal candidiasis. This is especially because you said that it is curdy white which is the exact presentation of this disease. It is not necessary for you to be sexually active to get this disorder. It is possible to get this sometimes due to immunity problems. Which in your case is the long duration of infection that you just had. The treatment is oral antifungals which will be given to you by you gynecologist. I hope this helps.
