Have Itchy Scrotum, White Flakes. Used Jock Itch Spray. Will It Suffice?

I have an itchy scrotum. It stops itchy after i shower but later in the day it starts itching again...i walk alot as i take public transportation everywhere..i have been using jock itch spray which seems to quell for a bit, but it keeps coming back. White flakes scratch off of it..really annoying! I do live in Los Angeles, so technically a desert climate..

Hi,

You may be having scrotal dermatitis. It may be either irritant or allergic. The cause may be soap, clothes, perspiration,powder,deodarant..etc. Avoid soap bath. Take Sitz bath in dettol containing water. Take antihistaminics like levocetirizine and steroids in tappering dose. If there is infection , take antibiotics. Apply combined steroid and antibiotic cream. Keep the area dry.
I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
