Have Itchy Swollen Leg With Rashes. No Insect Bite. What Could It Be?
My grandmother s left foot itched last night. This morning when she woke up the top of her foot, the outside of the foot and her ankle were swollen and there appears to be a slight red rash in the same area and up her leg. There does not appear to be a spider bite other type of bite to be found. Do you have any idea what it might be?

A sudden appearance of swelling and itching in the foot is most commonly caused by an allergic reaction or an insect bite. She needs to keep her feet elevated on two pillows and take an oral antiallergic to control the symptoms.

Rashes on top of your feet can mean superficial blisters and red lumps that,when left untreated.
may cause pain and scaring. They may also be itching and uncomfortable.
These rashes may be a symptom of an allergic reaction to food or medication or can be caused by obstructed sweat glands...what is called a heat rash.
Consult your Dermatalogist.
In AYURVEDA:
There are safe and natural ways to soothe a rash on your feet.
ALOE VERA is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory.Soothing your skin and preventing infection.
Take GHANTHAK RASHAYAN 5gms twice daily with jaggery.
Apply DHURWA OIL and wash with turmeric powder.
