Have Keloid Scar On Neck. Done Laser Treatment And Cryo. Permanent Cure?
Sir, I have a keloid scar (acne keliod nuche) on behind my neck , consulted many doctors and tried laser treatment and cryo but still the scar is there. sometimes puss comes out of the scar creating little pain. is there any way to cure for this is permanantly ?. i have this problem since last 10 years . Now i am residing at bangalore . can you suggest me some solution i am really fed up with medicine plz help me .tiju
Hello, Welcome to healthcaremagic. From your query i understood that you are very much distressed by Keloid. Keloid is a scar tissue which extend beyond the wound margin due to increased collagen. It can develop even from minor prick or cut. It is impossible to tell who will develop a keloid. A person who has had a keloid should not undergo elective or cosmetic skin surgeries or procedures such as piercing. So keloid is better prevented by avoiding unusual procedures an injuries.
You have tried both Laser and Cryotherapy. Finally only option is either chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Chemotherapy is with fluorouracil with steroids. Radiation yield better results in 90% of keloid affected persons. Hope it helps. Take care.
