Have Loose Motions, Vomiting And Watery Stool, Bad Diet. Is That Normal?
Hi My 3 years old daughter is suffering from loose motion and vommiting. She is passing very small ammount of watery stoll. She is also not eating anything, is it normal? We gave her emset but till not we have not gave her any antibiotic . Is it diarrhea? is it normal that she is not eating anything? Please suggest. Regards Rahul
Hello
Diarrhea is any recent change in frequency or consistency of stool. If stool is not mixed with blood or mucus then it is mostly due to viral infection. In this type of diarrhea there is no need of antibiotic. Due to vomiting usually children don't eat. You have given emeset to your child for vomiting. If the vomiting persists injectable antiemetic may be needed.
Give her plenty of fluid to maintain hydration.
Also give Zinc syrup and probiotic.
Be watchful for blood mixed stool, persistent vomiting, decreased urinary frequency. If you notice any of these consult your doctor immediately.
