Have Mastoiditis. History Of Having Ear Infections, Diagnosed TMJ. Little Help From Levaquin. Guide

I have been DX with mastoiditis, I am a nurse, and use stethoscope daily. I clean it, but could this be causing it? I have past hx of ear infections, and the ENT I went to said it was TMJ. I'm not crazy, I hurt constantly. I have been given levaquin 500mg daily for 10 days. It is slightly better, but far from well. What are my options

Hi,
I have gone through your query.
For your kind information if there is intact tympanic membrane then there is no chance of the mastoid infection by using stethoscope. But if you have already infected ear (perforated tympanic membrane / chronic suppurative otitis media) then it may cause some infection but by this route only rare.
Just take the conservative management.
Avoid putting water, oil and ear bud in the ear.

Wish you good health
