Have Missed Period. Have A New Born Baby Of 6 Months. Worried Of Being Pregnant Again. How To Abort?

Hello Dr. Nirja,

My wive's period is due on the 19th of May, her last was on April 19-20. Our baby is only 6 months old. Right now, my wife is feeling her period is due and it is not happening and we are really worried that she could be pregnant.

We don't want a baby right now because of our new born, our plan was to have one after 2-3 years. Is there any way to remove this? We are in the Middle East right now.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
first of all take a urine pregnancy test.
If positive, consult a gynecologist.
Have the pregnancy confirmed, rule out ectopic pregnancy and have exact pregnancy dating done.
Once that is through, your gynecologist would suggest appropriate mode of termination with prescription.
Follow up after procedure is must to confirm completion.
In absence of any of these steps, there is risk of infection, severe bleeding, incomplete abortion etc.
All the best.
