Wisdom teeth don’t aid in mastication so no treatment is required for the wisdom tooth. Surgical extraction of wisdom tooth is done in most of the cases. Dentist will numb you and then will remove the tooth. For some pain relief, you can do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. Warm saline rinses will reduce swelling of gums in that area and will provide some relief. You can also apply orajel over site. You can take pain meds. Avoid eating from side of affected tooth and maintain good oral hygiene. Food accumulation in relation to wisdom tooth will aggravate the pain. You can try these remedies for pain relief.

Hello
Welcome to HCM
I would like to tell you that wisdom teeth plays no role in mastication.Even if you take medicine your pain will be relieved for sometime & will start again. Its better to get it extracted.
Meanwhile you can do warm saline rinses. Apply clove oil in cotton pellet to that area.
Avoid applying pressure to that area.
Consult your dentist for further opinion.

Take Care

Hello there... There are two things to this...firstly if it is the wisdom tooth that is hurting you get it removed....if you have an impacted or unerupted upper third molar, that could have been the cause for the pain and ulceration.... or if you already have an erupted upper third molar the mucosa gets caught between ur upper lower teeth and causes ulcerations...
secondly stress related factors or any food allergens or nutritional deficiencies would also result in ulcers...time taken for the ulcers to heal is around 4-5 days....Analgesics will not be of much help...You can use Tantum oral rinses 3-4 times a day and rinse it for 30 seconds-1 minute atleast....this would give you relief from pain...Dont worry...
