Have Nasal Drainage Problem. Taking Otc Medicine. Permanent Solution?
Hello Thanks for writing to H.C.M. I read your query regarding nasal discharge and you are on otc medicines which does not help. As per your symptoms it appears as you are having sinusitis or CSF rhinorrhea. To confirm it you should do- (a) C.T.scan paranasal sinuses. (b) Culture and sensitivity of nasal discharge. (c) Biochemical and Cytological examination of the fluid draining out from nasal cavity. By thorough clinical examination one may rule out allergic rhinitis and for differentiation csf rhinorrhea and infective sinusitis co-relation of above investigations report will help. In this way one may reach to proper diagnosis that may be accordingly managed. Regards.
