Have Pain Along Eye Brow And Forehead, Tender. Prescribed Valtrex, Percocet. Temporal Arteritis?

I have pain along my right eye brow and right side of forehead. It is tender to the touch. Extremely painful. I went to my doctor and he said it was shingles. I do not have a rash. He gave me a script for Valtrex and Percocet. It has been a week or so and I still have pain and pain around my eye. I think it could be something else Temporal Arteritis. What do You Think? I am a 44 y/o male.

well.. after herpes zoster u can stil hv pain.. its called as post herpatic neuralgia... for temporal arteritis.. u shd gt ur bood evaluated for CBC, ESR...
its unlikely to hv shingles without rashesh..
