Have Pain Due To Split Ear Of Penoneus Brevis. Surgery Likely?
Thank you. I have a 3 cm longitudinal split ear of the peroneus brevis. I have had worsening pain for 2 months. Just had an MRI . My specialist has now put me in a boot. They say that it will most likely heal in 6 to 10 weeks without surgery. Everything I read indicates that surgery is likely eventually. I am doing PT and will begin iontophoresis with Dexamethasone . I am supposed to go on a cruise in 5 weeks. Should I cancel? Is surgery likely or can it heal on its own?
Since you mentioned longitudinal split EAR, the category of your question has been wrongly placed in the ear, nose and throat while it should actually be in the bone, muscles and joints.
Thats also the reason why you have not got any reply for your question
You may place your question in the bone, muscles and joint section and i am sure someone will help you out with your problem
