Have Pain During Sex, Diagnosed With UTI. Prescribed Metronidazole Gel. Will It Help?
I have pain during sex and I have been diagnosed for a UTI and am being treated for it right now. This is the second time I had a UTI within months and after my first dose if antibiotics for the UTI I had a yeast infection. I thought the yeast infection was the reason i had pain during sexual intercourse but after 3 pills of diflucan my doctor prescribed me Metronidazole Gel. I was wondering what is causing my pain during sexual intercourse and if the gel is going to help.

Well if u had infection for second time
Get a urine culture done to know the best drug of choice.
Secondly treat ur partner too at the same time.gel alone won't work.
U might require antibiotics too after culture.
Maintain hydration.
