Have Pain In Head, Ears. Pain Relievers Are Not Helping. Have Finger Joint Swelling And Pain With Movement. Treatment?
For about three months I have been suffering terrible pain in my head with no certain area but all over. Even waking me up. It had been accompanied by pain in both ears. The pain is not relieved by over the counter pain relievers. And lately I have some finger joint swelling and pain with movement by not in all the finger joints. Just certain ones on each hand.
Depending on severity of the pain, some pain relievers might not be able to help. Your problem maybe due to a type of bone and soft tissue diseases (rheumatism) more specifically septic arthritis (multiple) and since this is as infection it is probably the cause of your persistent headaches. If this infection is not treated, then it would be hard to control the pain. I suggest you get blood tests done such as CBC, ESR, CRP, ASLO, rheumatoid factor (RF), urinalysis, fasting blood sugar, uric acid etc. You also need a full physical exams with measurements of your blood pressure. Ones the cause is determined, treatment will follow and the pain relievers will work.
Pain in the head for three months without vomitings probabaly not from the inside of skull (brain). It apppeas to me that the pain is originating from the cervical muscles and also radiating to ears. Now the pain has started spreading to small joints. All these symptoms are making an impression of that probably you are landing in to some chronic disease like Gouty Arthritis or Rheumatoid arthritis or Osteoarthritis. Please consult Reumatologist along with general physician . They may investigate you relevently and accordingly they can treat you. Possible investrigations; S Uric Acid, ESR,CRP,CBC,RA factor,Blood Sugar. KFT,LFT.ANA, Cervical Xray etc. Hope the query is answered. Thanks
