Have Painful Lump On Outer Lip Of Vagina. What To Do?
Hi I m worried as I have a small lump on the outer lip of my vagina . It been there for about 2 months but I m to embarrased to see a doctor. The lump has gone down a little but its still there and can sometimes be painful. It looks very shiny as if it full of fluid, but when I squeeze hardly anything comes out. I m worried in case its dangerous.thank you
Hi and thanks for the query,
I must agree it might be embarrassing at times. But remember a proper management shall demand on an appropriate diagnosis. Around the vagina we have glands called the Skene s glands and the Bartholin s glands. These glands are those generally affected by common infections or other common inflammatory reactions. a simple physical examination by your doctor shall appreciate the gland affected, the nature of the lesion and certainly direct the management.
I suggest you visit your family care physician for a proper evaluation and management.
Thanks and best regards,
