I can very well under stand your need to look good in your profession. Surely I shall try to help you but you need to bear this in mind that skin color is genetically determined and we can not drastically change the color, at the most there can be 2-3 tones lighter for skin by the removal of the superficial tan.
For both your concerns you may undergo a few sessions of chemical peels from a doctor. Use a hydroquinone, tretinoin and momatosone based cream at night under consultation of a dermatologist. Apply a sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection during the day. Don't pick or pop acne lesions. Take a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. Hope this helps you.
