Have Pink Spots On Lip. Had Peeled Off Dry Skin. Remedy?
Hi! I have light two pink blotches/spots on my lower lip and I m wondering if my lip color will ever return to its normal color again? I ve had this problem for about 2 years and I was hoping there was something that I could do to restore my bottom lip back to its normal shade. I noticed the change during the Winter season when my lips became severely chapped and I didn t have a chap stick/or moisturizer to put on them. Therefore, I ended up peeling the dry skin off which I immediately noticed the pink spots. I was hoping the color would return after a few months but unfortunately it never did. What would you suggest that I do and do you believe that the color will ever come back? Please help me as this is very embarrassing to me and I would like to correct it if it s possible.
You seem to have developed post inflammatory hypo pigmentation secondary to chelitis of lips.
The following treatment may help: -a steroid based cream like fluticasone in the morning. -tacrolimus cream at night. -keep your lips moist with a lip balm. -avoid using other lip cosmetics for the time being.
You may start this treatment under a dermatologist's guidance.
Hope this helps you.
Take care
