Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
From your presentation it appears to be a familiar problem. But, before this I would have preferred to know your age. I am assuming you are male from your username, and so the most probable provisional diagnosis is that of
prostate enlargement.
Enlargement of the prostate is an age-related condition, which takes place in males above the age of 50 years. And, due to this enlargement of the prostate, there is a certain amount of pressure on the
urethra, which helps in draining urine from the
urinary bladder to the external environment.
When there is pressure on the urethra, it cannot completely drain the urine, leading to certain amount of urine left behind in the urinary bladder, giving you a feeling of an incomplete emptying of the bladder.
Let me list a few of the symptoms of prostate enlargement for you. They are:
-Decreased flow of urine
-Dribbling of urine on feet
-Poor stream
-Waiting for urine to pass
-Feeling of incomplete evacuation of urine
-Continuous feeling of a full bladder
-Abdominal pain
-
Nocturia (night urination)
-Painful urination (not always)
-Infections of the urinary tract
You will have to visit a doctor and get examined to confirm the diagnosis, once an
ultrasound reports the grade, you will be treated accordingly with medication (first-line) like alpha blockers, etc.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
