Hi, many thanks for the query!
We need to know the exact pathology behind your raised Sr.
creatinine which can be either Medical or Surgical. Medical can be Medico-
Renal Disease,
Chronic Renal Failure etc due to various reasons and Surgical can be due to Pathologies that are obstructing the
urinary tract & urine out-flow causing back-pressure changes in the kidneys & compromise of the renal function, particularly obstruction must be beyond ureters, as creat is raised, indicating bilateral compromise i.e. urethra level obstruction e.g. stone/stricture/BEP etc.
For that, you need to do certain investigations- USG (KUB) (Prostate) (pre-void & post-void residue), Uroflowmetry, X-ray KUB, Sr. PSA, Urine (Routine & Microscopy).
Also we need to do "Per-rectal examination" to look for the Prostate enlargement & more importantly its consistency to rule out malignancy (cancer) in which case it is HARD.
Once diagnosis is confirmed, treatment strategy can be decided by your
Urologist.
Hope this information is sufficient & useful to you.
Wish you a good health.
Take care.
Regards.
