Have Raised Skin On Lower Lip With Small Pink Dot. No Itching Or Pain. Cure?
I have a raised skin on my lower lip is same color as my normal skin on lips since monday it is now Thursday...it is a perfect circle with what looks like just very small pink dot inside. On sunday I ran 7 miles it was very windy outside ran out where there is a lot of nature like. It does not itch or hurt or bothering me but just annoying to see it not going away neither getting worse.
Looks like you have developed a lesion of Vector dermatitis..also known as Paederus dermatitis..
Paederus dermatitis is a peculiar, irritant contact dermatitis characterized by a sudden onset of red lesions on exposed areas of the body. The disease is provoked by an insect belonging to the genus Paederus.
Now as in your case the lesion is persisting since 4 days, you need to apply an antibiotic/steroid combination cream over the lesion (something like flutibact, fucibet) twice a day.
Take oral antihistamine like levocetrizine once a day to decrease the swelling
Do not use any moisturizer or lipstick over the lips till the time the lesion heals
Hope it helps
Wishing you speedy recovery
