Have Rash On Leg, Becomes Worse When Itching. Right Medication?

My husband broke out in a rash yesterday morning. He was gone all week to his hunting camp. Says when it starts itching and he rubs the spots on his legs it becomes worse. When he came home today he got in the bath the itch went away. Now as he has been trying to sleep the itch is back and it's becoming unbearable. I have no cortripilon and wondered what should we do.?

Hello dear,

Based on the history of spending a week in hunting camp, the rash can be attributed to Contact dermatitis.
Symptomatic relief can be obtained by intake of Antihistamine preparations like Allegra 60 mg twice a day & application of topical steroid ointment.

If symptoms still persist, then kindly consult a Dermatologist & get a proper clinical examination done.

Wishing a good health.
Take care.
