Have Red Blotchy Skin Around Mouth, Cheeks. How To Treat It?

I have red blotchy skin around my mouth and cheeks. I have had it for nearly a year now. It s not itchy or irritating it s just there. It is hot to touch but I don t think it s a rash since it s been a long time. Once I came back from austrailia it started and has not gone away.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,

The condition you describe sounds like hemangioma caused due to growth of cells lining blood vessels. Usually it is self resolving and might go off without treatment but this may take years.
Treatment options include oral steroids that you may consult your physician about. Also you can go for pulsed dye laser therapy which has very satisfactory results.

Hope I helped
