Have Red Bumps And Itching On Forearms, Palms And Tops Of Feet. Taken Benadryl And Some Lotion
My 6 yr old son has hand, foot and mouth disease. How long do I need to keep him out of school? He had a fever for 1 day and then hasn t had any other symptoms other than the red bumps and itching on his forearms, palms, and tops of feet. I have been giving him benedryl and medicated lotion to soothe. He is drinking fine with no sores in his mouth.

Hi hand foot mouth disease is a viral disease which is caused by poxvirus.child should not go to school for 5-7days which is incubation period of virus.it gets cured by 10-15 days .use of zovirax suspension .zinc supplementation and application of calamine lotion along with anti inflammatory agent twice daily can cure the disease
