Have Rheumatoid Arthritis Flare In Knee, Wasted Muscles. What Exercises Should Be Done?
i have been having a Rheumatoid arthritis flare in my right knee and now the muscles holding the joint in place have wasted away and i need to try to wake them up and strengthen them but very carefully. The big muscle on the front and slightly inside of my thigh is the one to work on first do you think? Walking makes it worse but i have been water walking and i think it is getting a little stronger. what further exercises should i be doing?

Hello, Thanks for your query. Y are correct in your thinking.It is front and inside thigh muscle(quadriceps) which weakens and wasted. For this you have to do quadriceps strengthening exercises to strengthen this muscle which will relieve your knee pain. You can do this exercise by lifting and holding your leg in air.
