Have Severe Tongue Cramps, Throat Pain, Spasms. Had A Tonsillectomy. What Can Be Done?

I had a tonsilectomy four days ago (including operation date) and I am experiencing severe tongue cramps and pain, which are in fact worse than the actual throat pain. The pain spasms are so severe that I cant speak, drink, eat or anything that involves movement from my tongue. Speaking brings tears to my eyes and I don't know what I can do to ease the pain. I'm female and 22.

Hi,
It seems that due to more pressure on tongue while doing operation for better visualization of the field, there might be having some soreness or some injury to tongue giving rise to this problem.
I think antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines might have prescribed post operatively so this medicine will work for your tongue problem as well.
Do salt water and antiseptic gargle.
Take light diet for 3-4 days.
Ok and take care.
