Have Shoulder Pain, Muscle Pain Going Down To Elbow, Numb Patch On Back Shoulder Blade. Right Medication?
Hi, For about 4 week now my shoulder wakes me up with a sharp pain and its so severe that I cant move it . I cant lift it past a certain point . I have noticed that I also have a muscle pain going down to my elbow and a numb patch at by back shoulder blade . I can ease the pain by applying pressure to the muscle but it only helps for a minute.. what would you suggest ?
Welcome to HCM. Pain and restricted shoulder movement might be due to development of frozen shoulder. Numbness, pain up to elbow indicates some neurological involvement at cervical level. Go for x-ray cervical and shoulder to confirm the diagnosis. Start nsaid with muscle relaxant. Intra muscular injection of nsaid to subside severe pain. Start complete course of oral as well intra muscular b12,foloc acid. Calcium,d3 supplement will be helpful. Physiotherapy is advisable. Start medication under guidance of orthopedician.
