Have Sleeplessness, Palpitations, Weight Loss, Had Flu. Negative HIV Test. Do I Have Thrush As Well?
Hello doc hope i you can assist. In march 2012 i had a sexual encounter with a woman who i did not know her HIV status. She did oral to me without a condom but penetration with a condom. After 2 weeks i started seeing a white substance on my tongue, then i started to worry and there were lots of diifferent feelings like sleepiness.palpitation at times and fever but no sweat. I went to my doc in July did a 20 min. HIV test which was negative still i was worried the doc said i was fine in the meantime i was losing weight and said the white stuff could not be thrush so quickly if it was HIV.. I went to another doc and did another fast HIV test in September which was also negative. The doctor gave me a medical check and said i was fine. By this then until now i was down to 162 lbs from 175 lbs and am still not able to put on the weight again..I have not been ill since then apart from a flu 2 weeks ago. What do you think about my weight loss which is worrying me.

You had protected vaginal sex and an unprotected oral sex. Oral sex carries a low risk for HIV.
As your HIV tests after done after 4 months and 6 months were negative, then there is no possibility for HIV. Weight reduction and the whitish tongue may be due to various reasons. Your anxiety towards HIV and the attack of Flu might have been responsible for this weight loss.
Consult your physician. He will examine you and with other investigations he will be able to cure you.
Nothing to worry about HIV.
