Have Swelling In The Hand Which Is Spreading Up To The Arms, Couldn't Be Diagnosed With Accurate Problem

My elderly father has a puffy hand. The doctor thought it was gout. My father was given medicine for gout with no results. Next the doctor thought it might be an infection. Antibiotics were prescribed. The swelling went down a little, now they're puffing up again. There is heat with the puffiness. The other hand isn't effected but it's starting to tingle. Both hands are starting to tingle. No itch or redness. Just puffiness that is beginning to creep up the arm.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it is a soft tissue swelling of the hand, I think it to be the filarial swelling, if he has been to the tropical area, especially agency area.
Other causes may be the anemia,or hypo vitaminosis Bcomplex. probably thiamine.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
You may need to have mid night blood smear for micro filaria for confirmation, and other blood tests.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
