Have Swollen Finger, Looks Like Edema Or Fluid Build Up In Knuckle, Unable To Bend Joint. Cause?

Quick question...I've noticed every once in a while, I've randomly woken up in the a.m. with one random finger (the knuckle joint) swollen (not painful), it just looks like I have edema or fluid build up in my knuckle and I can't bend the joint. Usually it seems to be the index finger or a pinky....It will happen randomly then the swelling will go down after 1-3 days....What do you think could be causing that? Should I be worried? I'm only 30...Would playing violin for 20 years cause that (not professionally, but still quite often)....Thanks!

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
It could be early sign of some arthritis. I would recommend you blood tests- CRP,CBC,ESR,ASO,or full arthritis profile. Also it could be some form of auto-imune-allergy phenomena. Consult a rheumatologist also
