Have Symptoms Of Ocular Migraine. Any Preventive Medication?

Hi. Since 3 months, I have been having symptoms of ocular migraine (zigzag lines in one eye, right or left) @0-2 times per week with none or mild headache. But since 1.5 months i have had no such symptom. I havnt ever taken any preventive migraine medicine. Suddenly today in a span of 3 hours i i got 4 such attacks lasting 10-20 min!

Hello, Thanks for your query, There's been little research to determine the best course of medications to treat or prevent ocular migraines. However, your doctor may recommend one or more of the following drugs:

Aspirin
Drugs used to treat epilepsy, such as Depakote (divalproex sodium) or Topamax (topiramate).
Tricyclic antidepressants, such as Elavil (amitriptyline) or Pamelor (nortriptyline).
Beta-blockers
