Have Tenderness In The Hip. Have Been Icing And Heating As Well. What Can This Be?
Hi My hip is so tender to the touch where my hip joint is. It hurts the most if I try to jump. I've been icing and heating as well as stretching and using a foam roller to roll and stretch my calves, quades, hamstrings and hip flexors. These have helped but the pain is still pretty bad. Any idea as to what this could be? And any ideas on what I should do to help the pain so I can be active and play volleyball again?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain in the hip joint could be due to a muscle sprain, vitamin D3 deficiency, an injury to the internal structures of the hip, etc. This can be properly diagnosed by an MRI scan of the hip joint or a direct examination of the area. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal drtayal72@gmail.com
