Have The Feeling Of Pressure, Pain And Fullness In The Ear. All Test Done. What To Do?
Hello Sir.
I am 28 years old male having some problem with my right ear. I feel pressure, pain and fullness in my right ear. This has been going on for the last 8 months now none stop. before I had this issue but was just once in awhile and It would last about 15 to 20 minutes. I went to ENT and I the doctor told me but I have a negative pressure in my right ear. the doctor advice me to put a tube in my right ear to relieve the pressure. I thought I put the tube I was back to normal life for the next eight months but after eight months I begin to feeling pressure, pain and fullness. I went to the ENT doctor again I got few types of CT scans. The scans covered TNJ area, front and back of right ear area and sinus. All the results came back normal. I also did an MRI of my brain. In MRI white matters noted.
My neurologist did some test for MS but MS was ruled out. Basically after seeing different doctors no one knows yet what is going on with my right ear. Few things that I noticed when my body temperatures get high my pressure on my right ear gets worse . I also have a congested nose. When I lay down one side of my nose gets blocked this been going on for the past 15 years I don't know if this relates to my right ear.
I hope you could help me out I really do need help. I am suffering everyday my life is getting harder day by day. Thank you.
I read your query regarding pressure, fullness and pain in your right ear, you are being examined and investigated by an ENT doctor who find negative pressure in your ear and therefore advice for putting a tube in ear to releave the pressure. You are aso having congested nose forquite long time, and you feel nasal obstruction in the nasal cavity on the side remains lower on lying down position.
Considering your above story it appears as you are having Rhinosinusitis with eustachian tube dysfunction which ultimately results in blockade, heavyness, pressure and pain in ear.
For management point of view your nose and paranasal sinuses should be examind and if sinusitis is detected than that has to be treated first, that will prove of great help, but if after treatmnt of sinusitis persists than putting the tube in right ear will be only treatment.
I hope your query is answered.
Regards
