Have Tingling In Tip Of Penis. Took Minocyclien Hcl, Not Helping. Done Urine Microscopic Test. What Could Be This?
i have had a tingling in the tip of my penis for over two months since i have returned from a trip to the D.R..Neg on clap. and gor. test. Dr did find bacteria and prescribed MINOCYCLINE HCL 100MG CAP . however after taken the meds for 7 days tingling is still there. had urine microscopic test twice and was told all is normal after meds but tingling is still there. what else could it be since doc is saying there is nothing else to test for?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. You had not mentioned about your age and type of sexual activities. Anyhow following Minocyclin capsules the urine becomes bacteria free and the tingling sensation remains means that it may be due to an associated Trichomonas (a protozoal infection) urethritis. It can be demonstrated by simple test from urine or from wet smear from urethra. A course of Metronidazole or Tinidazole may help you to get relieved from your problem. You consult your physician and under his guidance you have this treatment. Drinking adequate fluids also sometimes relieve your problem. Dr S.murugan
