Have Trendelenburg Gait Plus Shorter Leg After Total Hip Replacement.

Have trendelenburg gait plus shorter leg after total hip replacement. The leg length discrepancy can be taken care of with a heel insert. As for the trendelenburg problem, do you recommend any type of brace that might be helpful? The operation took place over six months ago and I still cannot get by without a walker. Even a cane is problematic at this point. I do exercises for the dropped hip and have had much physical therapy. But the gait problem still remains. Is it just a question of time before severed muscles and nerves heal? My age, 84, I'm sure means much slower recovery even in the best of circumstances.
