Have Twitching In Right Thumb, Sore. Got Injured While Playing Football. Nerve Damage Or Carpal Tunnel?
My right thumb has been twitching and my right hand feels like it fell asleep (that pins and needles feeling). It has been sore the past few months around the joints. Im 20 years old, I jammed my thumb when I was 15 yrs. old playing softball which is what I thought made it sore. Now that it has started twitching though I am worried about nerve damage or carpal tunnel?

You should do emg ncv study of rt upper limb which will show the status of nerve velocity and muscle activity. If pathology is present it will show. If no pathology it may be simply due to calcium or vitaminb12 deficiency.
In carpel tunnel there is partial clawing of index and middle finger.
Loss of sensation over later 3 and half digits.
Get well soon.
