Have Type 2 Diabetes. Increased Blood Sugar. Weight Loss Suggested. Are Figures High?

Hi, I have type 2 diabetes and just had my yearly check up to be told my bs count had go up from 55 to 61 and were considering medication, but gave me a 3month period to lose some weight and change my diet once again . I am 68 .13 st 8lbs and have had this condition for 8years. I felt pressurised by this nurse and have never been happy with the surgery since we moved, my previous surgery saw me every 6 months and my count was 6.1 at one stage and cannot understand how they now talk about figures of 55/61 Is this considered high

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
At one point you mentioned that bs has gone from 55 to 61 ( assuming that this is blood sugar, if it is 55 to 61 then how high , you have not mentioned the unit).
No doubt your weight is high , but exact figure is not here .
Weight and height are related to each other , so mention?
What type of surgery & for which disease they recommended ?
If possible upload all reports.
Good luck.
