Have Varying BP. Taking Plavix, Micardis. Had Anio Palsty Surgery. What Is The Dosage?
Hi good morning Doc. I have angio plasty surgery almost 2 years now and my doctor prescribe me plavix for my stent and Micardis 80mg for my BP and one of my cardio doctor prescribe me another medicine which is con cor 2.5mg. because sometimes my BP comes 140/80 is this okay taking 2 tablets for the same treatment of BP? Thanks and God Bless.
It is perfectly all right to take two medications for the blood pressure.some times the even 3-4 drugs are used for the blood pressure control ,which is imperative after the angioplasty.
Now a days, even 140/80 blood pressure is considered a bit on the higher side, and for a heart patient the NEW NORMAL blood pressure is below 120/80.
Also Concor is beta blocker , it has positive effects on the heart ,more than just lowering the blood pressure,I am not sure why you were not on it before.
Do not worry about the tab number, you are on perfectly fine combination.
Take Care.
