Have Very Heavy Periods. Had Kidney Transplant For 2 Times Earlier. Have Been Taking Tranxemic Tablet. What Could Be The Reason?
Hi! I am 25 yrs & recently had kidney transplant for 2nd time. After transplant for 2 months my periods were normal but after that for last 3 months they have been abnormally heavy. Daflon was not working so de suggested tranxemic acid tablet thrice a day. Can you pls tell why is it happening suddenly & if this medicine is safe? Thanks
The cause for your irregular bleeding is most probably the kidney transplants you underwent which can very often lead to menstrual irrejgularities and also at times cause problems with fertility.
Tranexamic acid is a medication used to stop bleeding, so please take it, it is safe and will help to reduce/stop the bleeding.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
