Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
Let me explain this to you in the best possible way. The female vagina develops a
hymen as she begins to mature and develop. The tearing or breaking of this hymen is what is determined as a loss of virginity in most females.
I am assuming you have most probably not had penetrative intercourse before. Although, there have been cases when penetrative sexual intercourse has not damaged the hymen, but fingering has.
This is solely because some females have a very thin hymen and some have a more thick one. Hymens can also be torn by a girl during the developmental stages during sports, activities like ballet, etc.
Do not worry about this, this feeling should subside in a few days. If it does not, then an infection should be considered, which could have been brought about by contamination of your genitalia by your partners fingers.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
